Draw this again: Knight in the Dark

Another piece for the Draw this Again challenge I'm doing for 2021. This one was a doozy as I took the original piece that featured only the female knight and widened the canvas to include a secondary character, some shadow monsters and a clearing for scenery to help tell a story and work on my composition.

As a result, it took a lot longer to get through the initial sketching / cleaning phase, and then figuring out the painting phase and texturing / rendering phase. A good portion of which is still fairly new to me since it's not something I did much of, I'm sad to admit. Still, if nothing else this art redraw challenge has helped expose both the things I've improved upon, and those I've neglected.

Next is a fanart character mashup that turned out rather well, so the objective is to improve upon it!
