Scanned and coloured a sketch I did the other night. Honestly it turned out to be more useful as practice for colour blending than as an exercise in colouring a scanned piece as I omitted making a clean lineart and jumped straight into painting over the sketch.
The painting process allowed me to work on my skin tone blending and gain confidence in using various colours on the colour wheel to get lights and darks and create edges more naturally, as well as generate dimensionality. It's something I never did before (I used to only do flats, and render over that with greys).
