Draw this again: Petit Knight Creations mascot

I thought I'd start the year of 2021 off on a good foot by re-drawing old digital art pieces from the last decade. Sadly when I lost my macbook all the artwork from 2010~ 2014 was lost (about the time I got the macbook/ my first tablet). I hadn't really done anything too crazy with it since I was working full-time so I don't think it's that much of a loss.

This piece however, was one of the first steps into the professional art world, in the sense that the head of the original became my profile picture for social media accounts all over the place!

For the redraw I wanted to flesh out the design by giving the Knight a weapon, in keeping with his Inkbottle helmet. A calligraphy pen with a sharp nib seemed best! Beyond that, I tried to reinforce the texture of the cape and make the pose more interesting. I've got a bunch more to go!
