Draw this again: First Landscape painting

Here's another redraw, as part of my ongoing Draw This Again challenge. This was the first landscape painting I attempted. I tried painting trees and a river, but it came out kinda flat and I never posted it as a finalized piece (I shared it on Twitter, but not to my Deviant Art account).

This time around I wanted to really see what I could do; I took the original piece and thought how large I could make the canvas to really explore the landscape in my original piece. I added a little embankment, with a section being deforested for lumber, with the leaves partway dying.

One of these has ink added to make it pop, while the other was kept at a more concept art level. Either way, I'm satisfied that I leveled up my landscape painting. I didn't spent too many days on it either, which is great!
