Rediscovering my roots

So today I went back to my roots and made a huge Pinterest board filled with pins (photos, pictures, screenshots), of games from my childhood and teenage years, specifically:
- NES, SNES, PS1, PS2, N64, Gamecube, PC (90-00's), Xbox and the Wii.

I pinned any games I remembered playing of my own will, owned AND finished, or played with someone close to me at the time (friend of family). Those are the games that imprinted themselves into the fabric of my life, and left and indelible mark on my soul.
It's those games, along with my childhood experiences and my time watching cartoons/ anime, that stirred in me a love of characters and drawing characters. It's what I look for first in new games and shows. Good characters leave an impression after it's all said and done, and bad ones stick out like a sore thumb.
Then I went into Clip Studio Paint and started sketching characters from that time period, or characters inspired by that era in gaming. I figured I should colour them too, as I need to improve the content I post and share anyway.

So here's some sketches of characters, Kirby's in there, along with a sad rainy day frog knight. There'll be more as I find time to truly get into things.
